Over the years there have been so many inventions. They include vehicles, bicycles and motor cycles. Motorbikes have become common worldwide and have so many uses. Some use them as a means of transportation while to others riding them is just a recreational activity. The fact that they are often used they need to be serviced regularly. You may want to replace your handle bars because they are worn out or simply because you want to give an upgrade to your motorcycle. These changes can be done by a professional in an auto body shop. Alternatively, you can do it yourself at home as long as you are aware what is to be done. You just need to purchase the following; shop rags, a handlebar riser kit, a ratchet, a blue Loctite, a socket set and a half inch torque jerk.

You should start off by fueling your fuel tank with the shop rags. You have probably had a paint job done on your motorcycle. And seeing as they are usually costly, the last thing you want is for the paint to be all damaged. A handlebar or even a tool may accidentally scrape off a part of the paint. Having it repainted means they will have to do it uniformly and cost you a bunch of money.

You should make sure that your motor bike is in the best condition. This means you should identify the triple clamp and insert the riser mount into it. Position the riser just beneath the triple clamp. You may ensure that every kind these pieces are correctly locked collectively to certify that you dont place yourself in any kind of danger.

The next thing you should do is to place a locker nut into each riser nut and begin tightening them up. As you carry on to spread over blue Loctite. You may ensure the welfare of your new setup by tightening the bolts and nuts using the ratchet and the socket. Sealing these bolts is just a way of making sure that the bike is not a risk to you or to others.

Now to install the handlebars, align the bolt holes with the holes in the riser. Fit the bolts through the holes. At this point your ratchet and socket should help you tighten these bolts as tight as you can. If you do not ensure the that the bolts are tightened right, you might face danger the future. This means the handle bars may fall off while you are on the road.

Use the torque wrench to ensure all the nuts are in place in order to avoid the unnecessary inconveniences. These wrenches are made differently for each motor bike. It is upon you to follow the manufactures instructions to find out which wrench is best for your made bike. This information can also be acquired from a professional in an auto body shop.

Once you follow all these steps to the letter, your bike will be ready and safe for use. You can actually go and take it for a test drive. If you successfully changed the handle bars, then you can make simpler adjustments without any help such as changing the light bulb.
