Sometimes it could be simple tests such as the eyes or the hearing that will have a major effect on your interaction with other motorists. Have a look at your current medical plan, this may already be included. Alternatively, if you reside in a retirement village, they sometimes have medical personnel stationed at the residence.

Make sure that if you are not a regular driver, you still make time to be on the road. There are several changes that happen daily. This is either to a lane or to an island but changes that you were unaware of can come as a shock which may not allow you to have the right reaction whilst on the road.

The most common is making adjustments to the seat so you can easily jump in and out even if you have a walking stick, are in a wheelchair or have limb ailments. There are plenty of options available to make sure you are most comfortable and safe when on the road.

The biggest risk of all apart from being a risk to yourself, is possibly harming others. Before jumping in the vehicle, accept the current situation and do what you need to ensure that both you and other people are safe.
